Yes, 75 clips is the clip download limit from Filmsupply. We recommend downloading watermarked preview files first and then swapping them out when your Editfest cut is finalized (most platforms have a replace function for media).

No. We recommend downloading watermarked preview clips first before using your Editfest downloads.

You can, as long as you shot your footage or own it. The majority of footage must be from Filmsupply (51% minimum of your final submission). Also, keep in mind that you cannot submit anything utilizing stock footage from another stock footage site. Instructions on downloading Filmsupply footage for use in this competition can be found in the Starter Kit.

No. You only have the license to use them for your Editfest submission. If you would like to license the footage used in your submission for a future project or as part of your reel, you can license the footage at filmsupply.com.

To get access, there are download instructions for footage from Filmsupply and music from Musicbed in the Editfest Starter Kit above. You must use footage and song links from this Starter Kit to qualify.

Yes. To submit you must upload your submission to Vimeo or YouTube and provide the URL in the submission process. Your URL must be public-facing. It must also include the Editfest bumper at the beginning of your submission, found in the Starter Kit. You cannot upload to any other social channels.

If your submission makes it as a finalist, it will be displayed on the Editfest website for the public voting period.

No. All submissions are final. Please make sure you are uploading the correct version of your edit before submitting. There are no exceptions.

Yes, but please only submit your film under one account. Prize funds are also the same regardless of the number of team members, and should you win, you are responsible for splitting your prize(s). You are also responsible for all applicable taxes and fees, as detailed by each sponsor.

No. The licenses extended to you for footage and music are for submitting to Editfest only.

Yes, though you will need to cover the cost of shipping your prizes and pay any duties and taxes your country requires.

Yes! It’s also up to you to get all of your network to vote on your film, too!

No. All winners will be selected from the finalist pool, and each winner will receive one award.

No. Only one submission per person, team, or company.

Winners will be announced on our blog and social media channels on June 26 at 5 pm UTC.

Musicbed is providing access to the music in this Starter Kit free of charge to Editfest participants. One song in your submission must be from Musicbed, whether that is from the official playlist, or from your free 14-day Musicbed trial.

You are being given access to license music from the playlist provided in the Starter Kit to use in your Editfest submission. You may use them for your Filmsupply Editfest Submission only. You must purchase a license to use them on any other project outside of Editfest.

You can use original audio for your submission and songs provided in the Editfest Starter Kit. You can’t use the audio/dialog from a movie trailer, tv show, or any other production or audio recording unless you have expressed permission or license to use it.

Yes, all submissions must have the Filmsupply Editfest video bumper at the beginning of the film. There are no exceptions.  

If your submission meets Editfest requirements, you’ll receive an email letting you know we've received your submission. We will then review your submission to see if it followed all submission guidelines. If your submission did not reach us, or if it did not meet submission guidelines, it will not be considered for voting or posted on the Editfest site.

Winners will be chosen by our panel of industry-leading judges. The People's Choice category winner is determined by the total amount of votes given before People's Choice voting closes on June 19 at 5 pm UTC.

Individuals can vote once per day per film.

Vote counts will be displayed on the individual submission pages.
